Before I begin, I must admit that “Day 95” was not the most action-packed or thrilling day I experienced in Poland.
On July 3, I slept in quite late before eventually getting ready and making sandwiches for lunch. Not long after, I received a surprise message from Marcin that he was waiting outside to pick us up for kid’s practice.
Now, for background purposes, I had held a conversation with Greg the previous day about potential bad weather and the possibility of canning practice. For some reason, my mind mistook that for certain cancellation, and I never thought twice about it again.
I was caught off guard when I received the new message from Marcin, but quickly scrambled around and got ready to leave.
That day, the kids’ practice proceeded as usual, a small amount of defensive work and then a game. The only thing out of the ordinary was having a couple of new little ones that showed up for the first time since I had arrived.
After the practice concluded, some guys hauled in new benches for the dugouts, so I stayed and helped a bit with the moving process. Once that was taken care of, Greg and I played catch and ended up talking for a while before he drove me back to the apartment.
I relaxed for a bit and then prepared to walk to the gym.
For that session, I did my typical “day one” workout which consisted of leg curls, leg press, side lunge, back lunge, calf raises, and 500 abs. I ended up doing lower reps, higher weight, and felt very productive once I was finished.
Following my workout, I left the gym and walked next door to Bistro Pizza. I then ordered a large kielbasa pizza to-go and strolled back to the apartment.
When I finally returned to my room, I turned on some tv and nearly ate the entire pizza, which was quite delicious.
Equally stuffed and tired, I decided to call it a night.

Now, I know that this day was not much to write home about, but trust me, the next one will be action-packed and much more worthwhile, I just had to squeeze this day in.
Stay tuned for the next story, where I travel with my good buddy, Marcin, for a long-awaited, highly anticipated, emotional trip to a location I wanted to visit before I ever journeyed overseas. You will not want to miss this life-changing experience.
