The Stratford Bulldogs have officially hired Jake Foster as head coach for the high school baseball team.
Foster, a 22-year-old that is mere days away from his college graduation, is already familiar with the school and has valuable experience under his belt for a young coach.
Previously serving as an assistant for the high school football and baseball teams, along with junior high head coaching duties, he quickly emerged as a candidate for the high school head coaching position upon his graduation.
Following board approval last night, Foster was confirmed not only as head baseball coach, but also added roles such as assistant football coach, and freshman physical science teacher as well.
On what this opportunity means to him, Foster said, “It means a lot that Coach Blackburn and the board are giving me this opportunity. I am extremely excited and blessed to be able to take over this program and make a positive impact on kid’s lives and hopefully win some games in the process.”
He continued, “None of this would be possible without God. I will continue to give Him all the praise and glory through it all.”
The Stratford Bulldogs will look to expand their 2023 record of 6-14 and there is no doubt the new appointee is up for the task.
With youthful exuberance, hard work, and genuine passion, Coach Jake Foster is ready to turn his program around.
Congratulations Jake Foster.
Congratulations Coach Foster! ⚾️🏈
